HOME MADE MINT MELTAWAYS
So, you might have never had a mint melt away before. They are mint-y chocolates that come in a beautiful pastel green or a light brown. They are my brother’s favorite candy, so I decided to make some for him!
Since it is almost Valentines Day, I bet you could make these mint meltaways as a Valentine gift! 🙂
Okay, lets get to the recipe. It is super simple, so I hope you enjoy making them!
WHAT YOU NEED:
- One cup white chocolate
- One cup milk chocolate
- Two teaspoons peppermint extract
- Green food color (Optional)
- A spoon
- Candy mold
- Microwave safe bowls
HOW TO MAKE IT:
First, melt your white chocolate in the microwave safe bowls. Make sure to stir it as you melt it so it can melt evenly. After it is melted, add one teaspoon of peppermint extract and add food color. If the chocolate gets clumpy that is fine. Cover the inside of the mold in your chocolate. Make sure to leave room inside for the filling. Freeze it while you do the next step.
Next, do the same thing but with milk chocolate; just don’t add food color! Pour it into the mold then freeze.
Lastly, take them out of the freezer and enjoy.
